Silva Gouveia Architects is a multidisciplinary practice focusing on architecture and design.

Under Carlos Silva Gouveia, we collaborate with architects, urban planners, designers, artists and art historians, offering our clients a holistic approach to the design experience that transcends the boundaries of traditional architecture.

We believe each site should be improved by our intervention. Our philosophy is rooted in a deep respect for nature, the surroundings and pre-existing structures. Whether it is a new construction or a renovation we are committed to creating spaces that engage in a dialogue with their context and enhance the unique characteristics of its location. At Silva Gouveia Architects we value composition and light, textures, detail and materials - that which lends emotion to architecture.

We advocate for creative, sensitive, intuitive and experimental approach to designing blending volume, light, proportion, materiality, and color to create unique, honest, and timeless places.

We foster a close and trusting relationship with our clients, addressing each challenge in a creative and dedicated manner. We foster a close and trusting relationship with our clients that allows them to be the protagonists of the experience, approaching each challenge in a dedicated way. Our penchant for diversity of scale leads us to develop architecture, interior design, product design and ephemeral architecture projects, always with an innovative and personalized approach.

At Silva Gouveia Architects, we believe that each project is an opportunity to create something truly unique, not only to live in but to be inhabited and experienced.
